The program for this project was to update the interior of the 1970's branch campus library, reorienting the functions of the library and integrating new computer labs, circulation desk and internet cafe. Maintaining an open feeling was crucial for the project. The campus desired to create a library that was appealing and attractive for students to use not only for library functions but for additional functions as well. This renovation maintains the current size of the collection while creating an organized, and easy to access layout. Library and staff service personnel are placed in a more visible location to encourage interaction with students. Computer lab and internet cafe services are greatly expanded and placed in visible, accessible locations. Access to the student skill center is improved. The entry to the library from the main corridor was also be made more prominent and welcoming.
